Here's my 1992 V4 and my brother inlaws 96 both are stock and have never had any mechanical problems and when we ride together we always turn a few heads.  I can hold with the 800 til about 3/4 throttle the he seems to have this mysterious extra gear!In the lineup shot my wifes 98 XTC 700 is also in the pic

gaetan perron's '96 V-MAX 4
I hope that you vmax-4 lovers will appreciate these pic's,as you will see a lot of work as been done on the aluminum part's
the sled is for sale tel: 514-815-4497 anytime email night & week-end  gaetan.perron@feinc.com

brand new paint, full polished aluminium ski's , frame ( under the hood ), belt protector, suspension,
and even the wheels are polish with red insert
engine: 800cc unported 132 psi on all 4 cyl carb's: 33mm mikuni jet's 135 pilot 47psi trail blaster quad pipes
track: aggressor ( camoplast )171hp 8300 rpmbelt : dayco ultimax 2
so far the project is costing me 8000.00/cnd funds and 3 months of work I'm planning to change the following or add:
reed valves spacer , wolfpack reed valves and case, lectron or big air 38mm carburetor.
and also planning to have my tuned pipes heat treated with the nickel/ceramic coating (10% more hp)
+ 10% more hp from wolfpack reed's and give or take 5% for carb's
so 171 + 10% (17.10)= 188.10 + 10% ( 18.81 )= 206.91 + 5% (10.35)= 217.26 hp
of course all that is on paper but I'm planning to reach around 205 and 225
hp without raising compression or porting just by raising efficiency
so far just the tuned pipes are a huge gain over stock pipes!  21hp
only one drawback ,  BELT  my sled does have a lot of torque and at 5000rpm
even the smallest amount of throttle bring the rpm up to 8500 with out hesitation so obviously it is hard on the belt

VMAX 4 Pilot's
93' VMAX 4 750 with 3,250 miles on it. No rips, tears or weathering to the seat or hood. One crack in windshield and both mesh screens missing from front nose cone. Starts on third or fourth fairly easy considering the brute size and never misses a beat.

Check out this jet powered V-MAX 4 at http://www.photosweden.com/
This sled would be great for exhibitions at asphalt races like jet cars are...no after burner though.
