M-10 Rear suspension

I just bought a used M-10 for my 1993 V4. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this rear skid as to how much of an improvement the ride quality will be? If it was worth the effort? Any pros or cons you may have encountered with the skid.

Just want some input before I start drilling some holes in my tunnel and do some irreversible damage to the sled.

Thanks in advance,

Robb

It is alot smoother ride than my 97 pro action. Definetly the cure for me trail riding when the goat paths around here turn to moguls. The only gripe I have is you need to run your track with 1" sag no weight. When hammering on it the track will rachet. I bought extravert drives but never installed them because it lookes like they'll rub on the cross shaft to the front W bar.

Fast had you install the drive shaft from a Vmax 800 when you run M 10 in the 750. We didn't switch it on the first one and DID break the shaft.

Is it worth it? Alot to change, alot to adjust. If you like to tinker and don't mind to trade speed for ride, go for it.

With what's available in an OEM skid today out of a low miles sled I would stay away from the M10. If something breaks on it you're stuck with going to Fast for parts. Many late model OEM alternatives out there that are as good or better and parts availability on ebay and others is also a +.

I'd sell the M10 and get something different. I never liked them anyway. To much effin around.

Thanks for the input. I never knew about changing the driveshaft and chaincase. That will make me forget this venture really quickly. I have no interest in doing that.
