two-piece jackshaft

Does anyone know, other than the obvious, what is different between the '93's two piece jackshaft and the newer style one piece? Mainly I guess I am looking to compare lengths and diameters, especially on the clutch end of business. I want to change my two piece for a one piece and I want to know if everything must be changed or can the jacks just swap out. I know the chain cases are the same, gears and chain not so much, so that side shouldnt be an issue. I have a '95 chain case and gears anyways if need be, but I dont have a 95 secondary clutch right now. The reason I want to switch is that my stub shaft and the coupler are getting close to forced retirement, I have 3 more here and they are all pretty much in the same shape. This leads me to the conclusion that those two-piece jackshafts aren't much good. Mine was actually pretty good until I studded the track, then it all went downhill. Any advice would be appreciated.

The splines and diameter - could be more?

Once you blueprint the chaincase/jackshaft then the two piece shaft will last.
