Wanted- decent strut covers

Hey there,

I am looking for 4 good strut covers, 2 left and 2 right.
I am hoping to find 4 mint ones, decals and all (adjustable)
I believe they are all the same thru-out the years, only difference being 92 did not have "adjustable" written on the decal.
If anyone has some to part with please let me know.

The 92's were all by themselves, also the 93-94 and 95-97 were different - the radiator tube mounting bosses are the difference.

Bubba, glad to help when I can and you are right about this site and the character of Vmax-4 owners.

Good luck Bubba! A few months ago ebay had a couple of new old stock canisters but without the decal. I ended up buying a parts sled with a good canister but the decal was pretty weather checked. I was apparently very lucky to get the last right hand decal from Yamaha. They are discontinued.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Livinlo!! lol.... did you use the decal yet??
If not you should make a pattern and email it to me so I can see if my local decal place can reproduce
them.... slightly different to minimize copyright infringements of course!!

Does anyone know if cans off a vmax 500 or 600 are the same as the vmax4, year per year???

Sorry but I already have it on. I did think of getting duplicates made at my local sign shop but I was too feverish. I couldn’t wait to slap it back together and put my death grip on the throttle! If you brought in the canister with the decal on it I would think that they could come up with something pretty close. Just a thought, if your canisters are just dented they can be pulled out and finished with body filler. You could make them look like new again.

Yes, that will be part of my non-riding season work...or the late fall shit its snowing and i never did that routine.... lol
