97 cdi conversion

Hi all,
So I am converting my 93 vmax to a 180 degree firing order and I am having some trouble with it. I bought a 97 cdi box and I changed the connector pins to the old style and put the 93 plug on my 97 800 cdi box. All the wire colors are the same so I figured it would be a real easy swap but when I tried to run the sled I got no spark. Am I missing something? Anybody got experience with this?

Not sure what you have going with the "no spark" but if you are switching the cranks to 180 fire no OEM box will work. They are all set to fire a 90 engine.

Oh really? I was under the impression that some came 90 and some came 180! Well I guess I will rip down the motor and put the crank back to 90 thanks opsled.
 
Unless you are going to race it, I would ride it with it firing at 90 degrees. If you are racing it, either get a 180 box, or put an MSD on it.
