For those of you Yamaha Vmax-4 owners that are interested. I still have available my complete Hauck Power Sports 880cc Big Bore Kit. This kit is sold in like new condition (no junk or worn parts) with very low miles. This kit is very trailable, reliable and runs on pump fuel. It does not require usage of quad pipes, hi-rpm CDI box, nor 180 firing order. It is the "ultimate sleeper" kit, looks 100% stock, sounds stock, but is advertised @ 185 h.p. @ 8,350 usable rpms (Trust me your buddies will be scatching their heads) This big bore kit would cost you about $3200 to duplicate with the extra parts included plus the Swain's Tech Coating upgrades invested. Your steal price is $1200 plus shipping cost. Here is what you will recieve...

Qty: 4- 880cc Big Bore Cylinders, re-nicked, Fast Trail/Lake ported

Qty: 2- Heads (4 chambers) milled and re-shaped domes, fully Swain's
Coated (has even 135# of compression per cylinder)

Qty: 4- 880cc Wiseco Pro-Lite single ring pistons with rings, fully Swain's
Coated including piston skirts plus wrist pins

Qty: 3- extra 880cc Wiseco Pro-Lite single ring pistons with rings in boxes

I am selling the big bore kit now because I am finishing my Vmax-4 Turbocharged speed run sled and have a new engine. I have a couple of V4's but I don't need this kit sitting around on a shelf collecting dust. The kit has about 600 miles on it and is almost new. If you are interested give me a call!

just a question, but in your opinion what was better to have started with a 750 or an 800 to become an 880....?hauck also had a triple exhaust port cylinder was that a custom made cylinder...?thanks...!

I went to Pat's shop before I decided to purchase the big bore kit and I asked him if there was an advantage to using the '95-'97 800cc cylinders over the '92-'94 750's. He said it technically didn't matter really it cost the same. The 750 jugs will fit on the 800 case and vise versa. He did ,however, say that if you are going to change the firing order to 180 that the 800 case is much stronger and he would recommend going to that case, although you don't have to. If you upgrade to the triple port design cylinders you can expect to shell out an additional $1000-1200 dollars. I love this kit, it lived up to my expectations and then some, can't say anything bad about it!

other than crankshaft size and crank gears was the physical difference from the 750 and 800 i didn't know that you could turn your current 750 into an 800 by just swaping the top end...?isn't the small end on the rod different from the 750 than 800 i'm asking these questions cause i never owned a 750.and haucks triple cylinders are they a special casted cylinder or a moded stocker...?

Yes it is. 750 has the small wrist pins. You have know what size wrist pins the piston has. You can put 800 pistons on 750 (small wrist pins) with Hauck caps ($40 per piston).

Just to let everyone know that may be seriously interested in my 880 big bore kit, if it is not (officially sold and recieving money) by Friday, December 9th. I have arrangements made with another Vmax-4 owner to trade this kit for some other parts that I need. The selling price is $1200 firm and I am not going to split anything apart! Thanks

interested

im very interested in this kit do you have any photos that i can see thanks jeremy

I don't have any pictures available, the kit looks just like a basic 750cc top end (except for the pistons). There is really nothing special to see, everything is internally reworked and the kit is still bolted on the case. I can assure you that this is not a bunch of slapped together wore out junk or mismatched parts to make a big bore kit. The buyer is buying quality and is getting a steal for the price, but it needs to be sold by December 9th as I previously posted or else it will be traded for other V4 parts from a friend.

Just to let everyone know that was interested in my 880cc Big Bore Kit, it officially sold on Wednesday night, December 7th. Thanks for all the interest!
