1997 Yamaha Vmax4 800 - Might not be vintage but sure is rare - word is only 50 of these made it to the states in 1997. What sets the 97 apart from earlier Vmax\'s is a factory hydraulic brake and long travel rear suspension. Sled is very nice but not a museum show piece (it\'s been driven). No rips, or cracks in plastic but there are scratches in the paint, etc. Everything is straight and clean, sled runs great. Bender can (very rare) available for the sled also (makes it sound like a jet plane)! Extra misc Vmax4 parts available w/ sled also.

Sure do. And the funky sticker kit on the hood, that seems to be a shade off in color. Either the hood is some top secret Yamaha stuff or this '97 has been "driven" into the ground????

yeah, i was thinking they probably didnt make a whole bunch of spare 97 hoods, perhaps the only replacement option.

Hood is a from Pat Hauk - he had a few with this decal package that he put on sleds that he built as "Hauck Specials"...

Don't know about that but I doubt there were many of Haucks graphics out there???

so thats where my hood ended up. $3500 seems steep for a pieced together sled. this guy was lookin for alot of parts.....take it as u want.
