Do you have to press crank apart to switch to 180 firing?

Dum question I always thought you had to press each crank apart and rephrase to switch to 180 firing. been thinkin lately that maybe you just take the 2 halfs of the cranks and just reindex on the center gears (750) without any pressing. someone clear me up on this. Thanks Kirk

I believe on a 750 re-indexing of the crank gears is required but on an 800 you will have to rotate the PTO gear 1/4 turn in order to get the timing correct if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks guys. After looking that's what I thought. Soo for the Bonus question you time it so 1&4 are at tdc while 2&3 will be at bdc. Right?

Yep, or the other way round depending on the stroke ;) But i get where your coming from 1 & 4 work as a ''pair'' as does 2&3.
