I need new ski's, Please Help

I just picked up a 93 VMax 4 750 and it has a huge hole in the back of one of the ski's. It looks like where the wear bar conects it got ripped out in the back. Does anyone have any suggestions where to get an aftermarket ski for this? I have looked on line and can't find it anywhere. I really need to keep this as inexpensive as possible. I guess I could check and find someone to weld it up but would really like new. The ones on there are pretty beat up.
By the way the sled runs great has 3000 miles on a rebuild and I would give it a 7 out of 10. I paid $800 for it from the origional owner. How did I do?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Welcome to the site!
$800 for a running Max is a pretty good deal. OEM aluminum ski's in good condition are getting harder and harder to find. I have a set of C&A Pros that are in good shape that came on a Vmax-4 that I bought a while back. Personally I don't like the looks of them. I would be interested in selling them fairly reasonable.

A set of new OEM skis to replace yours would cost $800, so you did pretty well on the purchase of a running sled. We find a lot of parts links from ebay and skis come up every once in awhile. You might find a local snowmobile boneyard and see if they have anything. Even used OEM skis can run pretty steep because they're hard to find.

I see you are in Michigan. Do you know anything about the snowmobile bone yard in Midland? It is on my way to our cabin and just wondered if anyone had been there.

For $800, I would almost be crazy enough to buy new. I checked at my local stealership a year or two ago and they want $700 for one! I could hardly speak to finish the phone call. It is my opinion though that the aluminums are cool as heck, and help to make the look of a vmax-4.

My buddy has been to the one in Midland for engine parts. He said they had a lot of stuff. There's also a big one just North of Mt. Pleasant.

There's also a big one over by Carson City, but I can't find a link to that one.
kathsellsall! is an ebay seller that's been parting out Vmax-4's for 2 or 3 years. They're somewhere over in Linden.

I called the guy at Mickey's and he had a stock aluminum ski for $250.
I'm waiting to here back from LIVINLO about some he has.

I will have to check out the place in Mt Pleasant. We go up there often because our cabin is in Farwell.
