Looking for a vmax4 in alberta

$1,200 for a mountainmax sounds pretty resonable to me. It is a little rough, but I agree with Rustman that with a little tlc you could have a rare and respectable sled.

I'm sure that can be fixed with some effort. It bent one way it should be able to be bent back, it's all just aluminum.

Absolutely. 8' bar and some shims if necessary will work wonders. That being said ive seen 3-4 of these kind off kisses and they have all pushed back to some degree, so to effect a proper repair you would want to cut the gussets out, straighten and blow in new ones.
l spoke to Buddy, the woes dont end there, comp is 115-113-000-090, if i had to make a amateurs guess i would think that it suffered from WOT run with clogged pilots-carbs.
So theres at least 2 shot pistons, probably 4, strut can (left) and perhaps strut shaft right, 2-4 jugs and 1-2 heads and gasket set, and maybe more.

yikes, yeah that just turned into a $500-$800 machine in my eyes. Prices are higher out there I realize but here in NB, that's a hard sell. I had one of my 93's for sale, works perfect, some cosmetic issues and the best offer I got was $600.

Damn, I wish I was located on your side of the pond...A 93 that works perfect but has some cosmetic issues would have been $3000 over here. A good looking (but in no way perfect) 96 was advertised at 29000 SEK ($4500) couple of weeks ago. Sold in less than a day...Part of the problem over here is that the guys with the few really good ones have realized their true value. Then most of the other guys with the not so good ones think they can get the same and that seems to push the price level upwards year by year.
