An afternoon on the dyno

I took my sled to a dealer today that had a dyno. We spent several hours messing with the dyno, but made 5 or 6 pulls and it was VERY constant. I went there hoping for a TRUE 200 hp and we were running 228 to as high as 232. The 232 run was with very hot pipes. it was normally running 228 to 229 at 10,500. It was a lot of fun to see your own machine making that power. Now I just need to get more of it to the ground. Hoping for 130 mph this year.

You were looking for 200hp at the crank? Or the track? And it was 128 at the track? Or 128mph? Im a little confused sorry. What about the tq? Sounds like a good time either way!!

Wow, those are very impressive numbers.....Nice to see the pay off printed in black and white. I think awesome is the word I was looking for....

That is at the crank #'s. I forgot to look at the torque numbers
Here is a short video of the info. Never mind the fools babbling in the background...

Tony, I'm learning that dyno numbers don't mean squat compared to real world testing. I am SO disappointed in the Black Max. I vow to have it honking next year.

Slowly getting caught up! It's going to be a wet spring maybe we can track dyno for a day or two sometime in March?

That would be AWESOME!!!!! We just ran today and the Black Max ran 121. The stock 800 ran 109.
How's your Dad doing? I have tried to call a few times, but no answer. I am having some tach problems.

Give me a call tomorrow, if the answering machine doesn't pick up then we're on the other line and can't get switched over.
