Eagle River

All I can say is "WHAT A BLAST". Some fast stuff out there, different clutching for ice ovals. Fast backshift and hot belts. Couple of crashes, fortunatly nobody was hurt. Snow-crossers had a tough course, they were getting all of 30 feet of air with the high-perf class sleds. A friend of mine, Troy Shmidt did well with his Rev, made it to the finals and I think ended up second. Lots of balls on that track. Half mile oval and they were coming into corner one just over a buck. Terry and Dustin Wahl (47 & 74) were kickin some big ass, those guys run a hard race. God awful cold for the Friday night Thunder, sleds ran good with the dense air. Kind of cool, they flew 2 F-16s over the track Saturday afternoon, the third pass they lit up the afterburners, stood the hair up on the back of my neck. Poor guys were headed back to Iraq after they landed in Duluth. Cool thing was they sent the checkered flags for all the different classes to Iraq and they were autographed by military heirarchy, colonels, generals etc. They were handed to each "New World Champion" preceding their victory lap. KING OF THE LAKE,,,,Great to meet you finally, hope ya made er to work on time Saturday. BRAKES,,,had a blast as always,,,still wondering if your buddy gargled with some race fuel after Saturday nights episode,,,,LOL.... Sure is a different ball game than drag racing,,,,Its all fun with lots of dedication from the parties involved. Hope to see more of you guys there next year, its definatly worth the trip. JABBER,,,,best be gett'in that new track pretty quick, otherwise I'll have to send you one of mine. Next episode,,,,,,,,
THE WORLD SERIES ICE DRAGS!!!!!!!!!

Good rac'in to you guys
