How much can I get for this stinger????

Chrome

Went out and looked at them, I think you guys are right, their nickel plated. Thought they were stainless, my mistake

WOW $$$$

Well my stingers were made of Aluminum. It had new tubes tig welded and looked like new again. Sent new packing with them all for $50 + shipping. I can't believe how much money someone would spend on these stingers. After seeing how there made there not hard to make. Just the long inner tube with holes for the packing and spring would take some time to get done. Anyways I was not looking to make money for the pipes. I wanted to help out a great friend in Finland. After I found out his shipping cost I was more than happy he did not have to pay more for them.

I wont buy on ebay anymore. Everything gets so overpriced and I would rather send my money to a fellow member that I know here on the site. Someone should start making these Stinger!!! Make alot of $$ on them for shure.

I emailed Aaen about making them due to the interest in them. I sent them a link to an ebay auction that went for $$$$. They emailed me back that they weren't interested because they would be too loud and suggested purchasing their quad pipes.

AAEN

Wow, good move Ken. IMO, a fresh packed stinger makes less racket than a set of quad aaens. Ran them both and the stinger don't wake up until about 6500.
I will be at Aaens shop tomorrow, I will ask Olaf what the reasons are behind his decision. Sounds like one the secretary made

how much would AAEN charge I wonder? why not just mod the stock for the sound..... I found this on one of the posts here:

"Another fact is that dyno reports will generally show that popular aftermarket "silencer" kits on stock pipe applications will result in horsepower-loss! It may sound louder and meaner but 9 out of 10 chances you are losing valuable horsepower. Stick with the basics guys"

SO PAYING $250 so you can mabey loose HP dont make sence!!!:Flush:

Go to www.cseracing.com and click on the Tech Notes Icon at the bottom of screen and refer to note #2. That will tell you what you need to know about silencer packs. These guys know their stuff and have much dyno time with testing. They are top notch guys with years of knowledge sponsered by Cat and Hooper Race engines. Also while you guys are there read notes # 8, 9, 11. Note #11 talks about the compensating of timing using race fuel and why!

And that friend in Finland would be me. LOL!

They look great, are lighter than the stock "suitcase" and sound good. Not too loud. Too loud is bad. For keeping trails open, opinions on our side etc.
