Gears
Fastmax, thats the whole reason I bought the sled was for the reduction gears. The guy told me it had them, when I got it home and put it on a degree wheel, I found out they were the stock reduction so I tore the sled down to the cranks. Quite depressing. He swears Bender charged him for the gears when they built the sled and he says he was told they were in it. I don't know how you can tune the clutch for something like that when you don't know how fast the clutch turns. For what he paid to have that all done the whole sled should have been gold plated. Good improved porting, cut heads, windowed pistons, hand built pipes and a high rpm CDI. Motor did spin 10200 and ran very strong. I did manage to find a set of gears, they are extremely hard to come by and when you do you best be ready to sell your soul. It changes the reduction from .95:1 to like .80:1. Much easier to tune the clutch, not to mention torque. Do you know this guy that is restoring the Bender sleds?
